The Champions are very grateful to the unsung heroes who made sure they had their food and snacks, the endless supply of water and Gatorade, and the unending support of the behind the scenes committee led by the ever diligent and hardworking service chief of the Office of the Regional Director, SC Melanie P. Ruidera, RSA Edita M. Corpus, Auditors Vicki Albano, Jessamine Mataya, Bernardo Cangao and other support staff.

COVID-19 may have been a game-changer after more than 2 years of sporadic lockdown and quarantine restrictions, but the Champions of the Regional Office have spoken, their voices could be heard from the four corners of the room and their messages resonate with overwhelming happiness that a Sportsfest took place. From the words of our beloved Regional Director, Atty. Rex when he said that “sports has the power to unite and foster comradeship specially as we have all experienced pandemic fatigue and that the Sportsfest is a respite from the pressures of work”

Neither can we forget the message of our supportive and energetic Assistant Regional Director, “the sportsfest is a testament of athleticism, everyone was able to showcase their hidden talents, setting aside hierarchy and simply sharing the mutual love for the games and demonstrating the spirit of brotherhood. I salute all the winners, but more than that, hindi mo rin matatawaran at nakaka-touch po talaga yon nakita natin na effort ng mga rookie players na halatang nasabak po sa laro pero binigay pa rin yon very best nila, maraming salamat po doon.”
